North Attleboro – Mrs. Elizabeth 'Joyce' (Seebold) Chiasson of North Attleboro, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was 89.
Joyce was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, on May 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Paul and Bridget (McDevitt) Seebold. She had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to North Attleboro six years ago.
The wife of the late Edmond J. 'Joe' Chiasson, she leaves her children, Margaret A. Potter and her husband, Robert, of North Attleboro and Marco Island, Florida, Kathleen M. Dunn and her late husband, William, of Englewood, Florida, Mary E. Hartman and her husband, Robert, of Concord, Joseph Chiasson and his wife, Betsy, of North Attleboro; her grandchildren, Cheryl Keating, Jeff Potter, Matthew Russo, Elena Russo Coughlin, Megan Marquis, Aimee Chiasson, Michael Chiasson, and Emily Chiasson; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Elizabeth A. Marquis and a sister of Mary Maher, Susan Homan, Margaret Gessig, Jane Marcheski, Paul Seebold, Nancy Farnsworth and James Seebold.
Family and friends will honor and remember Joyce's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, October 2nd from 3 to 5 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
