Waltham - Miss Elizabeth A. Doherty, of Waltham, died Friday, April 16, 2010 in Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was 74.
Betty was born on April 3, 1936 in Tewksbury, a daughter of the late Leonard D. and Dorothy M. (McKale) Doherty. A lifelong Waltham resident, she was a graduate of Waltham High School.
Betty worked for over 28 years in the Quality Control Department for the Polaroid Corporation before retiring in 1993.
Friends will honor and remember Betty’s life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rt.20), Waltham. Funeral Services are private.
