Waltham – Mrs. Elizabeth A. "Libby" (Killion) Faulkner, of Waltham, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Waltham Crossings. She was 97.
Libby was born in Framingham on November 18, 1918, a daughter of Irish immigrants Michael and Catherine (Kelly) Killion. She was raised in Roslindale and married Fred E. Faulkner in 1946. Two years later they built a home in Waltham and became lifelong residents.
After raising her children she worked for a time in the cafeteria at Waltham Hospital. After that and up until recently Libby volunteered at the Waltham Senior Center helping to prepare meals for their Meals on Wheels Program.
Libby's husband, Fred, died April 4, 2001.
She leaves her children, Fred E. Faulkner, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Littleton, Robert F. Faulkner his wife, Patricia, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, George M. Faulkner and Mary Jane Tsacoyianis and her husband, Dean, all of Waltham; her grandchildren, Nicole Castro, Gretchen Thach, Sean, Kevin and Aaron Faulkner and Matthew and Theodore Tsacoyianis; her great-grandchildren; Giselle and Claudia Castro, Alexis Thach, Brayden Faulkner and Adam and Owen Tsacoyianis and many nieces and nephews.
Libby was also a sister of the late John Killion, Catherine Renaghan and Margaret Slade.
Family and friends will honor and remember Libby's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, August 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning when her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
