Elizabeth 'Betty Lou' (DiGiacomandrea) LaRose

Belmont – Mrs. Elizabeth 'Betty Lou' (DiGiacomandrea) LaRose, of Belmont, died Saturday July 20, 2019 in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. She was 64.

Betty Lou was born in Somerville on September 21, 1954, a daughter of Elizabeth (Greco) DiGiacomandrea of Belmont and the late Louis DiGiacomandrea. She was raised and educated in Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School with the class of 1973.

Before staying at home to raise her family she worked at the Raytheon Company and for that past several years was the front desk manager at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club in Waltham. Waverley Oaks customers and co-workers always appreciated Betty Lou's warm smile and friendly nature. At home her cooking talents were always appreciated by her large extended family.

In addition to her mother, she leaves her daughter, Patricia E. LaRose (Thomas Bonn) of Belmont; her longtime companion, Jimmy Boudreau of Newton; her nephew, Matthew DiGiacomandrea (Jody) and their daughter, Courtney, all of Waltham and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rhodes of Sharon.

She was also the sister of the late William DiGiacomandrea.

Family and friends will honor and remember Betty Lou's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, July 25th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
