Elizabeth C. McEllin

Waltham – Miss Elizabeth C. 'Betty' McEllin, of Waltham, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Stanley Tippett Home in Needham. She was 80. Born in Watertown, a daughter of the late John and Bridget (Neary) McEllin, Betty had lived in Watertown for most of her life. She was a 1947 graduate of Saint Patrick's High School in Watertown. Betty was a bookkeeper for thirty years for the Van Kuren Company of Watertown and had also worked for ten years at Doble Engineering until her retirement. She leaves her sisters, Florence DiGiovine of Waltham and Mary Iodice of Cape Cod, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Betty was the sister of the late John McEllin, Joseph McEllin, Helen Carrigg and Theresa Fahey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street ( Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
