Elizabeth A. Rhodes

Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Shelley) Rhodes of Waltham, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Sudbury Pines Extended Care Center. She was 81. Born in East Boston, she had lived in Waltham for many years. Until her retirement, Mrs. Rhodes was the Executive Secretary for many years for former Waltham Mayor Arthur J. Clark. Mrs. Rhodes was the wife of the late William J. 'Dusty' Rhodes, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (O’Connell) Shelley and the sister of the late Martina O’Hara, Helen Basinski, Mary McLaughlin, Edward Shelley, Michael Shelley, Walter Shelley, Ruth Shelley, and Sr. Regina Elizabeth, O.P. She is survived by her brother, John T. Shelley, Sr. and his wife Grace, of Northboro and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 12:10 p.m. in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visitation will be held Friday morning prior to the Funeral Mass from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.
