Mrs. Elizabeth A. “Bette” (Crowe) Trudeau, of Waltham, died Saturday, March 23, 2024 in her home. She was 86.
Bette was born on August 20, 1937, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Donnellan) Crowe. Raised in Waltham she graduated from Waltham High School and continued her studies at Lasell Junior College where she earned her associates degree. She went on to enjoy a twenty-plus-year career as an executive assistant at Honeywell in Waltham.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed every second spent with her family. Following retirement she and her late husband, Paul swapped cold New England winters for the warmth and sunshine of Naples, Florida, and spent each summer with their family in Mattapoisett.
In addition to her beloved husband, Paul J. Trudeau, Bette was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Crowe.
She leaves her children, Mark Trudeau of Naples, Florida, Christopher Trudeau of Waltham, David Trudeau (Susan) of Acton, and Matthew Trudeau (Clair) of Concord; her grandchildren, Allie, Jonathan, Arden and Sean Trudeau; her brothers and sister, James Crown and Robert Crowe, both of South Boston and Barbara Davis of Pasadena, California; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bette’s life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Thursday, March 28th from 9 to 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where a Liturgical Blessing will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 p.m.
The family also welcomes all friends and family to join them for a celebration of Bette’s life on Sunday, June 2nd from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Paddy’s Public House, 95 Elm Street, West Newton.Thursday, March 28, 2024
