Ellen L. Sproul

Wellesley - Mrs. Ellen L. (Lovett) Sproul, of Wellesley, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Newton-Wellesley Alzheimer’s Center in Wellesley. She was 91. Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Daniel and Katherine (Driscoll) Lovett, Ellen was a secretary for many years for the John Birch Society. She was also a graduate of Cambridge High School and a former member of the North Waltham Senior Citizens. Ellen was the wife of the late Edward B. Sproul. Ellen leaves her cousins, Margaret Lovett of Sun City Center, Florida, Pat Hansen of Marietta, Georgia, and Tom Lovett of Falmouth. The Funeral will be held on Monday at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
