Ernest H. Johnson

Waltham- Mr. Ernest H. Johnson of Waltham died Sunday, July 4, 2004 in Weston Senior Care Center, Weston. He was 84. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Emma (Olson) and Ernest S. Johnson, Mr. Johnson worked as an accountant for General Discount Corporation in Boston for many years prior to his retirement. He graduated from Waltham High School, Class of 1937 and Bentley College of Accounting. He was an active member in the First Lutheran Church of Waltham. Mr. Johnson enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and the company of his three cats. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U. S. Army. Mr. Johnson was the brother of the late Herbert W. Johnson, Howard W. Johnson and brother in law of the late Elsie Johnson. He is survived by his niece Pamela Nelson and her husband Eric of Concord, and his great-niece, Hallie Nelson and brother in law of Margaret P. Johnson of Concord. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church, corner of Eddy and Weston Streets, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
