Esther M. Finney

Waltham – Mrs. Esther M. (Ryan) Finney, of Waltham, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Bolton Manor Nursing Home, Marlborough. Esther celebrated her 100th birthday on March 26th of this year. She was born in Waltham, a daughter of the late John J. and Mary E. (Healey) Ryan, and had been a lifelong resident. Esther graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Waltham in 1926. She had been a charter member of Saint Mary's Mother's Club in Waltham and had been a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Waltham. The wife of the late Albert J. Finney, she leaves her children, Albert J. Finney, Jr. and his wife, Pat, of Longboat Key, Florida and Elaine M. Anzalone of Hudson and Longboat Key, Florida; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Esther was also a sister of the late James A. Ryan, John J. Ryan, Alice J. Doucette and Elizabeth F. Doucette. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
