Belmont – Mrs. Estia E. (Abbondanzio) Analetto, of Belmont, died Monday, April 8, 2019. She was 83.
Estia was born in Fondi, Italy on June 16, 1935, a daughter of the late Luigi and Lucia (Broccoli) Abbondanzio. During World War II her family was forced to flee their home and after the war, at the age of 19, she came to the United States initially settling in Lynn.
Following her marriage to Leonard A. Analetto the couple lived in Watertown before moving to Belmont where they would raise their family. She worked at Raytheon, Grover Cronin's and Lady Grace. In 1982, her husband, Leonard died suddenly at the age of 47. Estia met the challenges of being a young widow head on making sure the bills were paid, the house was maintained and that all four of her children were college graduates. She loved singing and dancing and when able could be found on the dance floor at Mosely's on the Charles.
The wife of the late Leonard A. Analetto, she is survived by her children, Leonard A. Analetto, Jr. of Poway, California, Simone P. Analetto of Belmont, Anthony Analetto (Donna) of Weston, Florida and John M. Analetto (Ellen) of Belmont; her grandchildren, Philip and Jessica Analetto, Jason Kleinerman (Lexie) and Maeghan Kleinerman-Phillips (Brandon), Lauren, Lisa and Anthony Analetto and Lyle and Alexa Analetto; her great-grandchildren, Layla and Aubrie; her sister, Agatha Taglienti of Coral Springs, Florida and many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was also the sister of the late Pasquale 'Pat' Abbondanzio, Giovanni Abbondanzio, Maria Spagnardi, Gemma Caccamo, Versina Lambraia and Antoinette Spagnuolo and aunt of the late Marc Taglienti, Sherry and Deirdre Analetto and Jill Analetto-DeSimone.
Family and friends will honor and remember Estia's life by gathering to visit in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Monday, April 15th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to St. Joseph's Church, 130 Common Street, Belmont where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
