Ethel A. Medeiros

Mrs. Ethel A.(O’Mealey) Medeiros of Waltham died Wednesday September 21st at Meadowgreen Nursing Center. She was 80. Born in Nahant, a daughter of the late Martin and Ethel O’Mealey, she lived in Groton for many years before moving to Waltham. Mrs. Medeiros worked as a Supervisor for Watertown Arsenal. She was a graduate of Groton High School and Bryant and Stratton Business School. She was the wife of the late George V. Medeiros. She is survived by two brothers in law, James Medeiros of California, and Alfred Medeiros of Somerset, two sisters in law Mary Maynard of Somerset and Beatrice Medeiros of W. Yarmouth and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:15 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to her Funeral Mass from 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
