Waltham- Mr. Eugene R. Boeglin, Sr. of Waltham died Thursday November 3, 2005 at Pine Knoll Nursing Center, Lexington. He was 81. Born in North Andover, a son of the late Eugene R. and Aurora (LeMay) Boeglin, he was the manager for many years for Waltham Hi-Grade Liquor Store and also worked for BayBank in Waltham until his retirement. Mr. Boeglin lived in Waltham for the past forty-five years. He was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Army in Europe where he received several citations including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He had also been a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was the husband of the late Catherine E. (Nolan) Boeglin and brother of the late Alfred Boeglin. He is survived by one son, Eugene R. Boeglin, Jr. of Lexington, one daughter, Margaret J. McNeil of Charleston, South Carolina; one sister, Pauline Boeglin of North Andover, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
