Eugene L. Tougas

Eugene Louis Tougas, of Springfield, VA, formerly of Waltham and later Dennisport, MA passed peacefully on February 23, 2019.

He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie Tougas; father of Anne Marie Dziob (Edward), Cecile Tougas, and Elaine Perricone (the late Joseph); grandfather of six and great-grandfather of eight.

Gene served during WWII in the Army Air Corps and later retired as a Major with the Air Force reserves. He was active in the Builders Association of Greater Boston starting in 1948. In 2002 he was awarded to the Hall of Fame for commitment to the association. Gene was also an attorney having a private practice in Waltham for many years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church, 8750 Pohick Rd. Springfield, VA 22153. Interment will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery, 250 High St. Waltham, MA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in his memory, to the Institut Francais of Assumption College, 500 Salisbury St. Worcester, MA 01609-1296
