Eugenia Dechilin

Waltham – Mrs. Eugenia (Lopez) Dechilin of Waltham died Monday, May 29, 2006 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 78. Born in Guatemala, a daughter of the late Paulino Lopez and Marcelina Chilin, Eugenia was a homemaker and had lived in Waltham for the past thirty years. The wife of the late Malde Mendez, she leaves two sons, Celso Mendez of Waltham and Pedro Mendez of Guatemala; four daughters, Adriana Lopez of Guatemala, Catalina Mendez of Waltham, Sara Mendez and Juana Morales, both of Ayer; one brother, Cristobal Chilin of Waltham; three sisters, Elizandra Lopez and Jesus Lopez, both of Guatemala and Paula Lopez of California; 38 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 2nd in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday morning, June 3rd from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon when the funeral procession will leave for Committal Services at Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham.
