Eva V. Alessandri

Watertown - Eva V. (Sartini) (DiGiovine) Alessandri, of Watertown, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, February 8, 2010. She was 72. Eva was born on December 5, 1937 in Chelsea, a daughter of the late Dino and Rina (Alessandri) Sartini. She was raised in Watertown and lived for many years in Waltham before returning to Watertown. Eva was a customer service representative for Macy�s Department store until her retirement and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, shopping crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a graduate of Watertown High School. Eva leaves her children, Donna J. DiGiovine and her husband, Fred Baumert , Daniel J. DiGiovine and his wife, Rachel, David M. DiGiovine, all of Westford, Dana G. DiGiovine of Waltham, Diane L. Giannini and her husband, Philip, of Tyngsborough; her grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Domenic and Damien; her sister, Dolores Sullivan and her husband, Bob, of Winchester; her former husband, Fiore D. DiGiovine of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Nancy Moore, Diana Busconi and Anita Vasquez. Family and friends will honor and remember Eva�s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. when her funeral service will be held. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
