Evelyn M. Brennan

Mrs. Evelyn M. (Guerin) Brennan of Hobe Sound, Florida, died July 13, 2011, in the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida. She was 84. Mrs. Brennan was born in West Newton on March 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Francis and Rose (Bouley) Guerin.

Evelyn had lived in Waltham and Watertown before moving to Florida fourteen years ago. She was an electronic technician for the Raytheon Company until her retirement.

Evelyn was the wife of the late Peter F. Brennan, Jr. who died on August 13, 1998.

She is survived by her children, Peter F. Brennan, III and his wife, Tina, of Hobe Sound, Florida and Rosemarie Mitrano and her husband, Joe, of Burlington; her grandchildren, Paul and Julie Brennan; and many nieces, nephews , and good friends who have been instrumental in her life.

Evelyn was the sister of the late Lawrence Guerin, Esther Lyttle, Raymond Guerin, William Guerin, and Gertrude Mackin.

Family and friends will honor and remember Evelyn’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Tuesday from 7-9 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 9:30 am on Wednesday before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
