Evelyn M. O'Brien

Waltham - Mrs. Evelyn M. (Doucette) O’Brien of Waltham died Monday August 1, 2005 in her home. She was 97. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late Alfred and Sarah (Leblanc) Doucette, she worked for many years as a secretary at Grover Cronin's Department Store in Waltham. She was also a graduate of Saint Charles High School in Waltham and had been a member and past president of the Waltham Emblem Club. She was the wife of the late Richard P. O’ Brien, mother of the late Paul R. and Sheila O’Brien and sister of the late Marguerite Lally. She is survived by her children, Barbara Benoit of Charlton, Mary Johnson of Sterling and Michael O’Brien of Hopkinton, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Evelyn's Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel prior to the funeral mass from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2042 Beacon Street, Newton, MA 02468.
