Everett M. Rose

Waltham – Mr. Everett M. Rose of Waltham died Sunday, February 13, 2005 in his home. He was 88. Born in Buxton, Maine, Mr. Rose was raised in North Berwick, Maine and graduated from North Berwick High School. He had lived in Waltham since 1946. He worked as an upholsterer for Patti Brothers in Waltham and later as a custodian for the Waltham Public Schools. Most recently, Mr. Rose was a teller for Shawmut Bank. Mr. Rose was a graduate of Northeastern Business School in Portland, Maine and a World War II veteran who served with the U.S. Navy, stationed in England. Mr. Rose was the husband of the late M. Winifred (Ford) Rose, the father of the late Mary M. Battaglia, the son of the late Freeman and Grace (Moulton) Rose, and the brother of the late Fannie Cole, Blanche Rumney, Carrie Etta Shaw, Mollie Brookings, Earl and Ernest Rose. He is survived by his daughter, Winifred G. Rose and her husband, Joseph J., of South Weymouth; his grandchildren, Joseph E. Rose and Meghan W. Rose, both of South Weymouth and Richard J. Battaglia of Waltham, and his brother, Ervin Rose of North Berwick, Maine. The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 690 Canton Street, Westwood, MA 02090.
