Mr. Fernand J. 'Curly' Cormier, of Waltham, died Sunday, January 25, 2009. He was 65. Born and raised in the College Bridge village of Memramcook, New Brunswick, Curly had lived in Waltham for many years. He was a mechanic and the owner of Newton Auto Radiator Service in Waltham for over thirty years. Curly was the son of the late Hypolite and Zelma (Bourgeois) Cormier and a brother of the late Claude Cormier, Oscar Cormier, Stella LeBlanc and Eugene Cormier. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne M. (LeBlanc) Cormier and was the devoted father of Denis J. Cormier and his wife, Lynn, and Denise M. Silva and her husband, Richard, all of Waltham; the pepere of Samantha and Cole; and the brother of Francis Cormier, Gerard Cormier, and Pauline Cormier all of Memramcook, Alonzo Cormier and Gerene Pottier both of Ontario, and Rachel Gaudet of Dieppe, New Brunswick. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Curly's Funeral at 8 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, at 9 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
