Mrs. Florence M.E. (Bradley) Doherty, of Leominster, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in The Golden Living Center in Fitchburg. She was 85. Florence was born on July 15, 1924 in Weston a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Duffy) Bradley and graduated from Waltham High School. She lived many years in Waltham before moving to Leominster in 1995. She worked at the former Standard Thompson Company in Waltham for over 25 years before retiring in 1988. Florence was an ardent New England sports enthusiast. She also had a love for animals. She was predeceased by her siblings, Oscar 'Dan', Donald, Harold, William, Richard and Raymond Bradley and Dorothy Kniceley. She leaves her son, William P. Leach and his wife, Lynn, of Leominster; her sister, Margaret Clinch of Waltham and her brother, Clifford Bradley of Lincoln. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Shawna Leach and her fianceï, Jason Kearchner and her great grandchild, Cameron Kearchner. Family and friends will honor and remember Florence's life by gathering to visit at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 5 p.m. Burial will be private.
