Mrs. Florence M. (DeFrancisco) Urbaczewski, of Watertown, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton. She was 71.
Born in Cambridge, Mrs. Urbaczewski had lived in Allston before moving to Watertown in 1975. She was a medical secretary at Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center for many years until her retirement in 1999. Previously, she was a secretary for Dr. Pettinatti and Dr. A.G. Volpe, both in Brighton. Mrs. Urbaczewski enjoyed crafts and ceramics. Above all she treasured her family and they were the center of her life.
Mrs. Urbaczewski was the wife of the late Edward W. Urbaczewski and the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (McGaffigan) DeFrancisco.
She was the loving mother of David J. Urbaczewski of Bellingham and Michael A. Urbaczewski and his wife, Carolann, of Waltham; the devoted grandmother of Michael and Garrett Urbaczewski; and the sister of Anthony DeFrancisco of Maynard, Mary T. Evans of Watertown, Dominic DeFranciso of California, and Rose Sousa of Dedham. Mrs. Urbaczewski is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Friday at 9:30 am from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
