McDonough, Georgia – Mrs. Frances M. (Bradshaw) Smith of McDonough, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in McDonough. She was 91.
Frances was born in Andover on February 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Thomas and Edna (Perkins) Bradshaw. She had worked at Brandeis University in Waltham until her retirement. She lived in Waltham for sixty years before moving to Burlington where she was a member of the Burlington Senior Citizens group and most recently had moved to Georgia.
The wife of the late William Smith, she leaves her children, William Smith of Wilmington, Janet Bastarache of Stockbridge Georgia, Elizabeth Donovan of Watertown, and Ruth Ann Rubman of Lynn; seven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Frances was also the sister of the late George and Clarence Bradshaw.
Family and friends will honor and remember Frances' life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, July 16th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
