Waltham – Mr. Francis A. Feeley, Jr., of Waltham, died Friday, March 13, 2009 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 78.
Frannie was born in Newton on October 7, 1930, a son of the late Francis A. and Gertrude (Boudrot) Feeley, and had been a lifelong Waltham resident. During the Korean War he served with the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment and had been a member of the Presidential Honor Guard for Presidents Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was a member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post No. 156 in Waltham. Until his retirement, Frannie worked for Calibron Instruments in Waltham.
The husband of the late Catherine A. (Caramanica) Feeley, he leaves his children, Pamela J. Doiron and her husband, Kenneth, of Framingham, Kevin M. Feeley and his wife, Donna, of Waltham and Stephan F. Feeley and his fiancé, Robin Morse, of Kingston; one sister, Jane Cotton of Waltham; four brothers, Adrian Feeley and David Feeley both of Marlboro, Donald Feeley of Riverside, California and Kenneth Feeley of Falmouth; his grandchildren, Samantha Connor, Corrine Cunningham, Jessica, Jason, Vanessa, Heather, Christopher and Matthew Feeley; his great-grandchildren, James Lally, Caileen Hurley and Braeden Cunningham and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Frannie's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
