Waltham - Mr. Francis M. George, of Waltham, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 81. Born in Peabody, a son of the late Anthony H. and Rosemary (Mello) George, Frank worked for M.I.T. Lincoln Lab in Lexington as a machinist for many years. He had lived in Waltham since 1954 and was a member of the Waltham Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1018. He was also a member of the Waltham Auxiliary Police. During World War II, Frank served with the United States Navy and during the Korean War, he served with the United States Air Force. He was the brother of the late Anthony, William, and Joseph George. Frank leaves his special family, Judith Powlesland, Kathleen Keegan and her husband, Paul, and their children, Brieanna and Christopher, all of Waltham, and Joyce Johnson of Taunton. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
