Francis J. Keaney

Mr. Francis J. Keaney of Waltham died Tuesday November 25, 2003 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 69. Born in Watertown, a son of the late William and Gertrude (Bradley) Keaney, Mr. Keaney worked for 37 years for the Raytheon Corporation as an Engineer. Mr. Keaney was a former member of the Waltham Elks, the Waltham American Legion and was an avid golfer. Mr. Keaney served with the U.S. Army and with the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Keaney was the brother of the late Bernard Keaney, William Keaney, Delores Trembly, and Anne Landry. He is survived by his wife Marietta B. (Last) Keaney, his children, William F. Keaney of Maynard, Robert E. Keaney of Shrewsbury, Linda J. Keaney of Worcester, Karen L. Keaney of Maynard, and Kevin M. Keaney of Arlington; one brother, Edward Keaney of California; one sister; Joanne Walsh of Newton; three grandchildren, Cyndi, Alex and Tori, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 p.m. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
