Waltham – Mr. Francis P. 'Pat' Lucas, of Waltham, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his home. He was 92.
Pat was born in Brighton on March 5, 1922, one of seven children born to Irish immigrants William and Mary (Deehan) Lucas. He lived in Brighton and in Allston before moving to Waltham almost sixty years ago. During World War II he served with the United States Navy.
Until his retirement Pat worked as a warehouse man at Americold in Watertown where he belonged to Local No. 504 of the Teamsters Union.
The husband of the late Marjorie E. (McCarthy) Lucas he leaves his children, Robert F. Lucas and his wife, Mary, of Waltham and John E. 'Jack' Lucas and his wife, Louise, of Framingham; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Meghann, Kevin, Scott and Michael Lucas and several nieces and nephews.
Pat was also a brother of the late Harold, William, James and Edward Lucas, Cecilia Gaudet and Mary Bryan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Pat's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, June 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning when his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown.
