Waltham – Mr. Francis J. O'Hearn, Jr., of Waltham, died on Friday September 23, 2016 in Maristhill Nursing Home. He was 90.
Frank was born in Brookline on November 16, 1925, the son of the late Francis J. and Mary L. (Murdock) O'Hearn. Upon his graduation from Brookline High School in 1944 he proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.
After returning home he enrolled at Boston College and earned his degree in 1952. He worked for most of his career in sales at John Donnelly and Sons Advertising in Boston and later in life he was a property manager for Vesper Properties also in Boston. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and always looked forward to a few months down in Florida during the winter to see family there.
He was the beloved husband of the late Ann C. (Cahill) O'Hearn and is survived by his children, Kathleen A. O'Hearn of Clearwater, Florida, Mary 'Lillis' Marzullo of Dunedin, Florida, Francis J. O'Hearn III and his wife, Mary, of Hudson, New Hampshire, Eileen E. LeBlanc and her husband, Mark, of Billerica, Nancy A. Rose and her husband, Charles, of Billerica, Elizabeth Lockhart and her husband, Bill, of Natick; Janice O'Hearn of Clearwater, Florida; his son-in-law, Erich Wagner of Brooksville, Florida; his grandchildren, Alicia and Nicole LeBlanc, Katie, Joseph and Thomas O'Hearn, Erich Wagner Jr., Olivia Wagner, Matt and Bryan Lockhart, Billy and Carly Rose, and Briana LeBlanc; his great-grandchildren, Payton and Sophia; his brother, Michael O'Hearn of Rome, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was also the father of the late Lynn M. Wagner and brother of the late Lillis Sweeney and Nancy Lattanzio.
Family and friends will honor and remember Frank's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday September 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
