Waltham – Mr. Francis K. Wong, of Waltham, died Monday, November 1, 2010 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was 82.
Francis was born in Boston on November 21, 1927, a son of the late Hop and Quan (Shee) Wong, and had been a longtime Waltham resident. He worked for many years as an electronics technician for the Raytheon Corporation in Bedford. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and travelling and was also a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Army.
The husband of the late Ann V. (Lee) Wong, who died on October 27, 2010, he leaves his sons, Stephen F. Wong and his wife, Karen Shaylor Wong, of Sudbury, and Edmund S. Wong of Acton; his grandchildren, Amy and David Wong; three brothers, Edward Wong of Waltham, Allan Wong of Newton and Bolton Wong of Bourne; two sisters, Florence Yuen of Toms River, New Jersey and Priscilla Lee of Waltham and many nieces and nephews.
Francis was also a brother of the late Clifford Wong.
Family and friends will honor and remember Francis’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
