Waltham – Mrs. Freda M. (LeBlanc) Gautreau of Waltham died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was 90. Mrs. Gautreau was born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada on June 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Methode and Marie (Allain) LeBlanc.
Freda was raised and educated in Bouctouche. She moved to Waltham in 1955 and worked at Omni Spectra in Waltham before retiring in 1992. She was a past member of Saint Joseph's Church Women's Guild in Waltham.
Freda was the wife of the late Thadee Gautreau, the grandmother of the late Michelle Wirth, and the sister of the late Leo LeBlanc, Raymond LeBlanc, and Anita Bastarache.
She is survived by her children, Armand J. Gautreau of Waltham and Adrienne Wirth of Gardner; her grandson, Dennis Wirth; her brother, Joseph LeBlanc of Bouctouche; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Freda's life by gathering for her Funeral Service on Saturday, November 5th, at 11 am in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will take place in Canada at a later date.
