Waltham Mr. Frederick B. Norton of Waltham died Monday, February 7, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 72. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Leo and Catherine (Burke) Norton, he was a lifelong resident. Until his retirement in 1992, Mr. Norton worked for many years as a welder for the Raytheon Corporation. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018, the Sons of Italy and the Elks, all in Waltham. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Gloria D. (Arsenault) Norton; his children, Richard L. Norton and his wife Joanne of Westford, Valerie A. Conran and her husband Anthony, and Jay F. Norton, all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Jamie and Sharon Thoele and Andrea and Alex Norton; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jenna; one sister, Carol Pansire and her husband William of East Sandwich and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Thomas and Richard Norton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
