Frederick J. Roche

Waltham- Mr. Frederick J. Roche of Waltham died Thursday October 9, 2003 in his home. He was 80. Born in Newton, a son of the late Frederick and Estella (Roberts) Roche, Mr. Roche was a mechanic for many years for the City of Waltham. He was a former Lieutenant with the Waltham Police Auxiliary, a member of the Waltham Moose, Waltham Knights of Columbus, and he was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Civilian Conservation Corps. Mr. Roche was the husband of the late Fern M. (Savoy) Roche and brother of the late Cathleen VanSickle. He is survived by one son, John H. Roche of Nashua, NH; one daughter Patricia A. Roche of Summit, NJ; one brother Douglas Roche of Clinton, one sister, Estella Mauro of Worcester, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel from 9 to 10 a.m. Donation’s in Mr. Roche’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom, Boston, MA 02114.
