Lawrence – Mrs. Fung C. Wong of Lawrence died Thursday, October 28, 2010 in the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence. She was 97. Mrs. Wong was born in Toishan, China, on March 3, 1913, a daughter of the late See Tie Wong and Sou Har Lee.
Mrs. Wong had lived in Lawrence since 1969 and had worked at the China Lee Restaurant in Lawrence from 1969 to 1994. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and cooking.
The wife of the late Yok Sing Lee, mother of the late Deborah M.L. Wong, and mother- in- law of the late Margaret Lee, John Lim, and Oi Chu Lee
She is survived by her children, Kwan Sin Lim of California, Bick Mee Lee and her husband, William Miccioli of Waltham, Ngar Hong Lee and Ngar Ching Lee and his wife, Nancy, all of Lawrence, Norman Lee of Wilmington, and Raymond Lee and his wife, Maria, of North Andover; her son- in- law, Allan S.M. Wong of Newton; her sister Lien Hong Wong of China, her sister-in-law, Sou Yok Wong-Lee of San Francisco, California; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mrs. Wong’s life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Route 20), Waltham on Tuesday from 4-8 pm and again on Wednesday where her Funeral Service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
