George J. Currie

Mr. George J. Currie of Waltham died Tuesday December 14, 2004 in his home. He was 80. Born in Cambridge, a son of the late Thomas and Clara (Devery) Currie, he was an accountant for many years for Turner Construction in Boston. He had lived in Waltham for the past 52 years and was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He was the brother of the late Robert Currie. He is survived by his wife Frances E. (Cox) Currie; his children Thomas F. Currie, Mark R. Currie, and Ellen F. Currie all of Waltham, Peter G. Currie of Columbus, OH, M. Susan Currie of Maryland and Ann M. Shannon of Tennessee; one brother, Charles Currie of Dover, NH; one sister, Ellen Tucker of Kingston, NH; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services and burial will be private.
