George M. Flagg

West Newton – Mr. George M. Flagg of Lynn, formerly of West Newton, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 in the Life Care Center of The North Shore in Lynn. He was 81. Born in Newton, Mr. Flagg had lived in West Newton for many years before moving to Lynn. He was a cable splicer for the James Sugden Company in Boston until his retirement. Mr. Flagg was the son of the late Charles and Julia (Collins) Flagg and the brother of the late Julia Shaughnessy, Doris Gentile, Loretta Irish, Phyllis Brown, and Charles, John, Robert, Richard, Donald, Albert, James, Gerald, Kenneth and Alice Flagg. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Dolly" Flagg of Peabody, formerly of West Newton, and Betty Flagg of Windsor Locks, Connecticut and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Bernard's Church, 1523 Washington Street, West Newton at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
