George A. Jee

May 4, 1926 — March 18, 2005

Mr. George A. Jee, Jr. of Waltham died Friday March 18, 2005 at Meadow Green Nursing Home. He was 79. Born in Winchester, a son of the late George and Edith (Poole) Jee, he was a Electronic Engineer for thirty years at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford. He was a member of the V.F.W, the American Legion, the Seabees, and was also very active at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church. He was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the Boston Trade High School and attended Boston University. He was the brother of the late Adrian Jee, and Barbara Lenz. He is survived by his wife Phyllis L. (Fay), four sons Frank N. Jee of Middleboro, Gary G. Jee of Gardner, Denis E. Jee of Texas and David M. Jee of Rhode Island, two daughters Lisa Corcoran of Waltham, Loretta “Lori” Connelly of Taunton, three sisters Edith Carmona of Maine, Yvonne Roy of CT; and Marie Farintino of Springfield; twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
