Waltham – Mr. George K. "Twitter" Trombley of Waltham died Thursday, November 14, 2013 in the Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 90. Mr. Trombley was born on October 16, 1923, a son of the late Joseph P. and Evelyn (Eddy) Trombley.
A lifelong Waltham resident, George enjoyed watching the Red Sox and golf, as well as his daily walks to Hannaford's Market in Waltham.
He leaves behind his loving sister and brother, June Trombley O'Brien and Paul R. Trombley, both of Waltham; his nieces and nephews, Bill O'Brien and his wife, Karen, Peter Trombley, Dan Trombley and his wife, Betty, Lyn Sturtevant and her husband, Steve, Jeanne Trombley, Bruce Courtney and his wife, Mary, Charlene Doucet, and Wayne Trombley; and many grandnieces and grandnephews including Brendan O'Brien and Terry O'Brien.
He was also the brother of the late Joseph S. Trombley, Kenneth E. Trombley, and Doris Trombley and the uncle of the late Jackie Trombley and Judy Hurley.
Family and friends will honor and remember George's life by gathering for calling hours on Sunday, November 17th, from 2-5 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again on Monday morning when his Funeral Service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
