Georgette Umbro

Waltham – Mrs. Georgette (Homsy) Umbro of Waltham died Monday, September 29, 2003 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was 71. Born in Allston, Mrs. Umbro had lived in Waltham since 1987. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Umbro also enjoyed going to the health club. Mrs. Umbro is survived by her husband, Tony Umbro; her children, Anthony L. Umbro and his wife Nora, of Framingham, Paul N. Umbro and his wife Diane of Lincoln, and Joseph L. Umbro and his wife Julie, of Waltham; her brothers, George Homsey of Duluth GA, Fred Homsey of Concord NH, and Albert Homsey of Allston; her sister, Alice Zuccala of Watertown; eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Umbro was the daughter of the late Elia T. and Nabeeha M. (Maloof) Homsy and the sister of the late Robert Homsy. The Funeral will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Anthony's Church, 43 Holton Street, Allston, at 10 am. Entombment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m. Donations in Mrs. Umbro’s memory to Sjogrens Syndrome, 382 Main Street, Port Washington, NY 11050 would be appreciated.
