Mr. Gerald A. Galligan of Dudley died Saturday, January 30, 2016, in his home. He was 82. Mr. Galligan was born in Waltham on October 26, 1933, a son of the late Andrew and Helen (MacDonald) Galligan.
Gerald was the owner of Monahan's Landing in Hudson. He was very talented in fixing things with his tools and also enjoyed gardening and farming his vegetables.
He is survived by his children, Margaret "Peggy" Galligan of Worcester, Kellie Miles and her husband, Robert, of Marlborough, Jennifer Galligan and her fiancé,
Bruce Masters, of Dudley, David Galligan and his wife, Megan, and Daniel Galligan all of Maine; his grandchildren, Tausha Derosier, Brandy Murphy, Bridgette Derosier, Shana Galligan, Jaime Mrazik, Shea Miles, Victoria Vincent, Samuel Miles, Noah Courtemanche, Joey Galligan, and Jordan Galligan; his great grandchildren, Nakija, Kaylee, Blake, Makenna, and Rhylee; his brother, John "Jackie" Galligan; and several nieces and nephews.
Gerald was the father of the late Gerald A. Galligan, Jr. and the brother of the late James "Jimmy" Galligan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Gerald's life by gathering on Thursday, February 4th, at 10:30 am in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham where his Graveside Service will be held at 12 noon.
