Waltham – Mr. Gerald J. ‘Hoss’ LeBlanc, of Waltham, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 64.
Gerald was born in Memramcook, New Brunswick on June 22, 1946, a son of the late Gerard and Juliette (Pellerin) LeBlanc. He had lived in Waltham for the past forty years and became an American citizen in May of 2007. For twenty-three years he was member of the Carpenter’s Union Local #275 and had also worked part time for Nick LaFauci in Belmont. He loved to play cards and cribbage and enjoyed country music. Gerald was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #1018 in Waltham and the French-American Victory Club. An avid Boston sports fan, he also played hockey with the French-American Victory Club team.
He leaves his, wife Nora M. (Dupuis) LeBlanc; his son, Mark C. LeBlanc of Waltham; his brother, Oscar LeBlanc of Dieppe, New Brunswick; his sisters, Annette Gaudet and her husband, Francis, and Sylvia LeBlanc and her husband, Ulysse, all of Memramcook, New Brunswick and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Gerald’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, April 17th, from 2 to 5 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
