Geraldine (Morreale) Lombardi

Born in Quincy on August 28, 1931, Geraldine was a daughter of Aragona, Sicily natives Girolamo and Maria (Alfeo) Morreale. She had worked for many years as a bookkeeper in the catalog department at Sears, Roebuck & Co. on Moody Street, and later at Burton Rodgers Calibron Instruments, also in Waltham, until her retirement.

She married William C. Lombardi on June 4, 1950 and they made Waltham their lifelong home. She and Bill had been active with the Waltham Sons of Italy and the pair enjoyed traveling to places near and far. A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, Geraldine was happiest when family was near.

In addition to her husband, the late William C. Lombardi († September 24, 2011), she is reunited in Heaven with her brothers and sisters, the late Carmelo Morreale, Sarafina Attardo, Rosalie Perfetuo, Ann Romano, and Antonio Morreale.

She leaves her children, Charles W. Lombardi (Dianne) of Waltham, Frances Trundle (late Robert) of Framingham, Marie Millian (Robert Jr.) of Waltham, Linda Connors (Joseph) of Waltham, and Jerome Lombardi (Keeley) of Freetown; her grandchildren, Thomas Trundle, Jill Hogan (Daniel), Robert Millian III (Allison), Anthony Lombardi, Michael Lombardi (Louise), John Connors, William Connors, Sadie Lombardi, Francesca Lombardi, Jerome Lombardi, and Camille Lombardi; her great-grandchildren, Tristan, Braeden, Kenley, Layla, and Alyssa; her sister, Antoinette Craviatto of Sacramento, California; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Geraldine’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, November 28^th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
