Geraldine J. (McGann) Quinlan

Weston - Mrs. Geraldine "Geri" J. (McGann) Quinlan died on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Sunrise of Weston.
Born in Waltham on November 27, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Downing) McGann - Otot. Geri was a proud member of the Waltham High School Class of 1947 and had been a Weston resident for 62 years. On March 17, 1951 she married the love of her life, Sherwood A. Quinlan, who died on September 10, 2001. Geri is now reunited with Sherwood. She was 89.
Geraldine worked as an administrative assistant for many years at Digital Equipment Corporation and previously had worked at Waltham Screw Manufacturing Company.
She was a member of the Weston United Methodist Church and was a kind and gentle person who had a love for music. She loved spending time with family and friends and cherished every opportunity to do so.
She leaves her children, Marjorie J. Quinlan of Natick and Roy S. Quinlan; her grandson, Andrew J. Quinlan; her sister, Marjorie J. Wills and her husband, Joseph of Jupiter, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Carol Quinlan of Bedford, and many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Geraldine's life by gathering for a graveside service on Saturday, October 5th in Linwood Cemetery, 190 Boston Post Road (Rt. 20) at 10:30 a.m. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452, or to any charity of one's choice.
