Waltham Mr. Gerard J. Bourque, of Waltham, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Eliot Healthcare Center, Natick. He was 79. His wife, Yvonne (Gautreau) Bourque, died in 1989. Gerard was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, a son of the late Willie and Emilienne (Jaillet) Bourque and moved here in the early 1960s. He worked as a machinist for the Reese Corporation in Waltham for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church and the French-American Victory Club in Waltham. Gerard leaves two sons, Brian J. Bourque and his wife, Lori, of Waltham and Dana J. Bourque of Dover, New Hampshire; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Sam and Leo Bourque, Irene LeBlanc, Edna Morgan and Leona McArthur. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Friday, March 9th from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
