Marlborough - Mr. Gerard Lawless, 48, of Marlborough, died suddenly on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at his home. He leaves his father, Robert J. Lawless and stepmother, Violet, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and his siblings, Barbara J. Lawless of Alameda, California, Christine Riedel of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her husband Gary, and niece Roberta Y. Baca; Richard J. Lawless of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his wife, Jane Lawrence; David Lawless of Brookline, and his partner, Regina Gogol; Brian Lawless of Hamilton, Montana, and his wife, Laurie Anderson; Andrea Tate of Santa Fe, New Mexico, her husband Daniel Caldera, and nieces, Andrea and Gabriella; and his former wife, Bonnie Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gerard was born April 8, 1958 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, a son to the late Janice (Ochs) Lawless of Arlington. He lived at various times in Santa Fe, Truchas, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Watertown, Arlington, Pepperell, and Marlborough. He graduated from Santa Fe Senior High, earned a B.S. in Physical Education from the University of New Mexico, and an M.S. in Library Science from Louisiana State University. Gerard served in the United States Coast Guard, with honorable discharge. He was a programmer for Fresenius Medical Care in Lexington for the past 9 years. His interests included guitar playing, reading, chess, coin collecting, hiking, and running. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. A visiting hour will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with arrangements to be announced.
