Waltham – Mrs. Gladys C. (Walsh) Seeholzer, of Waltham, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at CareOne at Newton. She was 86.
Gladys was born in Newton on November 3, 1929, a daughter of the late Vincent Walsh and Caroline (McConihe) (Walsh) Deleskey and was raised in Watertown. She was a graduate of Watertown High School.
A Waltham resident for the past fifty years she worked for Panametrics of Waltham until her retirement. Before that Gladys was a nursing assistant on Dot Hill's staff at Reservoir Nursing Home in Waltham.
She and her family were longtime parishioners at Saint Joseph's Church in Waltham. Gladys also belonged to the Red Hat Society, the Waltham Golden Age Club and the Southside Seniors.
Her husband of forty-two years, Harvey L. "Sandy" Seeholzer, died September 23, 1997.
Gladys leaves her children, Roger V. Seeholzer of Atlanta, Georgia, Kenneth N. Seeholzer of the Philippines and Robert L. Seeholzer of Waltham; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Dale and Arthur Walsh and Jean Kennedy.
Family and friends will honor and remember Gladys' life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, December 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
