Gloria M. Bouchard

Maynard – Mrs. Gloria M. (Maillet) Bouchard of Maynard, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday June 3, 2008 peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 58. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of Marie Maillet of New Brunswick and the late Alban Maillet, she had lived in Waltham for thirty-five years before moving to Maynard three years ago. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends both here and in Canada. She especially cherished the time she spent with her husband and daughter proudly watching her grandson Brandon participate in various sporting events. She was a devout Catholic who volunteered many hours for those in need and was an active part of the prayer community at the Espousal Retreat Center in Waltham. She leaves her husband of 35 years, Jean M. "Zambo" Bouchard; her daughter, Sherry Spencer, son-in-law, Richard Spencer and her grandson, Brandon Spencer, all of Waltham; her step-son, Donald Bouchard and his family of Templeton; her brothers and sisters, Noel Maillet and his wife, Glenda, Gerald and his wife, Fernande, Livian and his wife, Yvette, Irene Richard and her husband, Bernard, Stella Thibodeau and her husband, Leon, Anise Belliveau and her husband, Jean, all of New Brunswick and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Simone Thébeau, Desire Maillet, Oscar Maillet and Vitaline Maillet. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
