Waltham – Mrs. Grace L. (Erickson) Dahlin, of Waltham, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 95.
Grace was born in Gardner on July 8, 1922, a daughter of the late August and Marion (Ward) Erickson, and was a graduate of Gardner High School. Shortly after that she moved with her family to Waltham and had been a lifelong resident.
As a young woman she worked at Parke-Snow's and at Grover Cronin's, both on Moody Street in Waltham. After her children came along she became a full-time homemaker and the only job she loved more was caring for her grandchildren when they were youngsters.
Grace and her family were lifelong members of First Lutheran Church in Waltham.
The wife of the late John A. "Al" Dahlin, Jr., she leaves her daughter, Marcia M. Caminiti and her husband, Charles, of Waltham; her son-in-law, William Meany, Jr.; her grandchildren, Paul and Cara Caminiti, Sara, Erin and Ryan Meaney; her great-grandchildren, Grace, Brady and Gavin Caminiti, Maxwell and Andrew Krueger, Kyla Baker, Rocco Hancock, Logan, Asha and Silas Meaney and many nieces and nephews.
Grace was also the mother of the late Marilyn R. Meaney and sister of the late John and Gussie Erickson.
Family and friends will honor and remember Grace's life by gathering for her funeral service in First Lutheran Church, cor. of Weston and Eddy Streets, Waltham on Tuesday, August 1st at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
