Waltham - Mrs. Grace Anne (Hoffses) Nisbet, of Waltham, formerly of Watertown, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington. She was 83.
Anne was born in Waltham on August 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Robert H. and Grace L. (Wyman) Hoffses. She was a 1946 graduate of Waltham High School. Anne lived in Watertown for twenty-nine years before moving back to Waltham in 1995. Until her retirement she worked for Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge and for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare in Watertown.
The wife of the late Charles Firth and Alexander T. Nisbet, she leaves her children, Linda A. Firth Bontempo of Waltham and Linda A. Nisbet Sironi and her husband, Stephen, of Hanson; her grandchildren, Kristal and Kerri Bontempo and Jeffrey Sironi, her great-grandchildren, LaSiah, LaTonya, Andre and Isaiah Campbell and DeShae Davis-McClain and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the grandmother of the late Marc and John Bontempo and sister of the late Robert and Richard Hoffses and Jane MacDonald.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anne’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, February 22nd, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
