Waltham - Miss Grace Veronica Rooney, of Medford, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford. She was 76.
Grace was born in Medford on February 4, 1935, a daughter of the late John H. and Delia (Beatty) Rooney, and had been a lifelong resident. Until her retirement she was employed for twenty-five years at Malden Hospital.
She leaves her sister, Mary T. Shea and her husband, Richard P., of Waltham and her nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Grace's life by gathering for her Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, on Thursday, September 29th, at 10:30 am. Burial will be private.
