Mr. Gregory A. McAndrews, formerly of Dorchester, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was 47.
Born in Waltham on March 27, 1966, he was a son of John F. and Beverly A. (Saunders) McAndrews. Gregory graduated from Newton High School.
Gregory worked as an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103, in Boston.
He was a smart guy and mechanically inclined. He was always up for the challenge of fixing things from computers to cars to anything electrical. Greg's curiosity led to learning more about what made things work. He always had extreme potential and in spite of adversities and struggles he did his best to make a difference. He is at peace.
In addition to his parents, John and Beverly, of Yarmouth, he leaves his siblings, Gary E. McAndrews and his wife, Nancy of Southborough, John R. McAndrews and his wife, Jaime of Foxborough and Melissa A. Erba and her husband, Brian of Waltham; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins including his aunt Cora Monroe of Watertown and his much loved dog, 'Bishop.'
Family and friends will honor and remember Gregory's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, July 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by his Funeral Service being held at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
